Full description

Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Patient Monitoring & Anaesthesia Solutions team in Global R&D.

Do you have experience in project management within the Medical Device industry and a strong technical background? Are you motivated by leading cross-functional teams and turning technical and business needs into successful product solutions?

As a Project Manager in our Patient Monitoring & Anaesthesia Solutions team within Global R&D, you will have the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of development projects, ranging from major new product development initiatives to focused projects that enhance, upgrade and extend the value of our successful existing products.

This variety is an important part of the role. You will be expected to adapt your project management approach to the scope and complexity of each project while maintaining a strong focus on quality, execution and business impact.

At our headquarters in Ballerup, where we develop many of our medical devices, we have a strong collaborative culture and a clear focus on bringing products to market based on a thorough understanding of customer needs.

We develop, maintain products and production processes that combine multiple technologies in innovative ways. This requires strong project management capabilities, sound business and technical understanding, and broad experience with medical device development.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Leading medical device development projects of varying scope and complexity, from major new product development initiatives to product enhancements, upgrades and design changes, through to successful implementation at our production sites
  • Establishing a motivating and collaborative working environment within global, cross-functional project teams
  • Maintaining close collaboration with global stakeholders, particularly the Solution Steering Committee, to align resources, timelines, budgets and project strategies
  • Setting clear project direction and ensuring effective planning and tracking of project progress, timelines and budgets
  • Taking part in prototype builds, testing activities and interviews with users and stakeholders
  • Contributing actively to the Solutions Team by sharing best practices, experiences and lessons learned across projects

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experience can be gained in many different ways, and we recognise that the right candidate cannot be defined by a checklist alone. However, you are likely to succeed in this position if you:

  • Hold a degree in engineering or a related technical field and have technical experience that enables you to support sound decision-making and address technical challenges throughout a project
  • Have solid experience in Medical Device project management and bring a broad project management skill set and toolbox
  • Are comfortable leading projects of different sizes and levels of complexity and can adapt your project management approach accordingly
  • Have experience working with globally distributed project teams and suppliers
  • Are curious, open-minded and possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Are committed and structured, with a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and your team
  • Possess strong leadership skills and are able to create direction, engagement and momentum in cross-functional teams
  • Have a certification in Project Management
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English
